SPECIALIZED SKILLS TRAINING
This program prepares residents for the CFPCEM Certification in Emergency Medicine. Applicants must have completed the 2-year program in family medicine prior to commencing the EM program. At this time, there are two guaranteed, funded positions for each year; other funding sources may be available and would require a return-of-service period of 1-2 years in rural/northern Manitoba. occasional The CFPCEM Program is one year in duration and consists of thirteen 4-week rotations. The program is under the auspices of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.
