Nursing Focus

Rural/northern hospital practice provides a variety of different practice models.  The ORNH attends nursing career fairs at the University of Manitoba, Brandon University & Red River College to connect with students and provide information relating to rural and northern career placements. 

Rural/northern communities provide excellent quality of life opportunities such as affordable housing and recreation.

Manitoba's Office of Rural and Northern Health offers Manitoba nurses and nursing students interested in a rural or northern placement with a path finding function for your career search. By identify what you are looking for in a professional practice and community and including information about your family needs and spousal employment requirements we can connect you with potential employers.

The ORNH will utilize its network in rural/northern Manitoba to identify some qualified leads that meet the criteria you have identified and will provide you with the relevant contact person for you to further explore your career opportunity

The MB Healthcare Providers Network is the organization in Manitoba responsible for recruitment and retention of health care professionals. We are trying to connect with nursing students pursuing their education outside of Manitoba to make them aware of senior practicum, summer employment, and career opportunities in Manitoba. If you are a nursing student originally from, or with a connection to Manitoba, completing your education outside of Manitoba and would like to explore what a future in Manitoba can provide, please complete and submit this form.
